Celebrating Landing at Shivpuri- The Rafting Capital of India

This time the destination was Shivpuri, Rafting Capital of India and the reason for travel was to celebrate my landing on this planet way back in 1979!!!  I really Thank God for blessing me with the oppurtunity to come on this planet and giving all resources to explore it.
I have done this stretch of Ganga a couple of times earlier too apart from river Tons. But this time rafting was not on my mind, it was planned to be a camping holiday.  I was disappointed with myself for starting late than planned at 6 am on 10th Feb. Starting early on this higway can save you from hours of standing stuck on the jam and from overcrowded roads but latter it proved to be blessing in disguise. Gurgaon and Delhi weather was all clear but as soon as I hit U.P, there was blinding fog all around so driving in early morning darkness could have been difficult. One can reach the camp at Shivpuri in 4.5 hrs if you start at 4 AM from Delhi considering there’s no Fog and no major traffic Jam. I managed to reach the camp by 2 pm which was way behind the target.
The one good thing to have happened on this highway is that two new food joints, McDonalds and Haldiram have come up at Khatuali bypass apart from the only one earlier option Cheetal Grand. After the breakfast at Mc D I headed straight for the camp.

The Camp Silver Sands is few kilometers ahead of Shivpuri. It’s a beautiful camp on the bank of river Ganga with private beach and equally amazing service.

The place has always not only lived up but exceeded my expectations in all areas. This season the beaches have come up very nice and beautiful. The weather was also perfect with all sunny days.

Waking up to the sounds of the Ganga and babbling of Jungle Babblers became a routine for four days. Early morning strolls along the beaches are so amazing that you tend to forget all useless worries of your routine life. Mother Nature around you actually plays a huge role about how you think and deal with life.

The photos show the camp and it’s surroundings at different point of the day. Hope you all also love watching the photos as much as I loved clicking them.  The place has so much positive energy that you actually have to be there yourself in order to get the Real Feel of the place!!!
